Why should I pay to enjoy the Tradouw River?

Whilst many people enjoy the Tradouw River on our land responsibly and respectfully, there are some that do not.

The simple solution is to restrict access to the river altogether, as our neighbors Stonehaven have. We believe that a paid river permit is the best compromise to allow us to invite those that wish to enjoy our private reserve respectfully, whilst protecting us against any public liability. The Great Escape carries the responsibility of keeping a large, beautiful section of the Tradouw Pass untouched, and funds are used to help control alien invasive trees, purchase gin and tonics, and keep our dogs fed on whole chickens as they are accustomed to. We live in Barrydale, so if you want to discuss just call us on 083 455 1074.
